  24.             CSUNET (California State University Network) spans the state
  25.             of  California.  Its membership consists of the twenty Cali-
  26.             fornia State University campuses, five California  Community
  27.             Colleges, and the California Department of Education.
  28.  
  29.             CSUNET has four T1 connection points with the Internet,  two
  30.             with  BARRNet  (Stanford and UC Davis), one with CERFnet (UC
  31.             Irvine) and one with SDSCnet/CERFnet (SDSC). CSUNET also has
  32.             X.25  packet connections to SprintNet and 9600-baud X.25 and
  33.             Telnet dial-up access for  limited  CSU-sponsored  programs.
  34.             Between  the  CSU  campuses,  CSUNET  also  supports DECnet,
  35.             Appletalk, and SNA, along with TCP/IP.

  37.             In 1988, partial funding was received from the National Sci-
  38.             ence  Foundation  for cisco routers.  Today, however, CSUNET
  39.             is funded entirely by the State of California in support  of
  40.             K-12, community college, and university-level education.

  42.             Logical and geographic maps of CSUNET  are  located  in  the
  43.             csunet/maps subdirectory at "nic.csu.net" (130.150.102.20).

  47.             Any IP host of  Internet  member  organizations  may  access
  48.             CSUNET.
